The Alamance County Sunday Evening Net runs rain or shine, every Sunday evening at 8PM sharp on the K4EG repeater. It's a directed net open to all licensed amateur radio operators. Check in by suffix letter, share any announcements or traffic, and stay for the informal session afterward.
2nd Tuesday of Each Month
AARC meets monthly on the second Tuesday to handle club business, hear program presentations, and connect in person. Meetings are a great way to meet other operators, learn something new, and have a say in how the club is run. All licensed hams and interested newcomers are welcome to attend.
Last Full Weekend of June, Annually
Each June, AARC sets up a portable station and operates for 24 hours as part of the ARRL's Field Day — the largest on-the-air event in North America. We operate on multiple bands, run emergency power, and welcome visitors. Come out, make some contacts, and experience amateur radio at its most energetic.
Throughout the year, AARC participates in a variety of special events that go beyond the regular net and meeting schedule. These include public service communications for local races, parades, and festivals; nearby hamfests where members buy, sell, and swap equipment; special operating events like anniversary activations and national parks on the air; and exercises with Alamance County's served emergency agencies.
