On the Air

Online Community

The AARC mailing list at groups.io/g/K4EG is monitored daily by club members and officers. Post a question and expect a friendly response.

Monthly Meetings

Club meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Visitors are welcome — it's a great opportunity to meet members in person, ask questions, and see what the club is up to.

Emergency / ARES

For emergency communications inquiries related to ARES or RACES operations in Alamance County, please contact the club ARES/RACES Liaison via the form above or on the K4EG repeater. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Find Us on the Air

Most AARC club communication happens right where it always has — on the repeater and over the airwaves. The K4EG repeater at 146.670 MHz (CSQ, no tone, −0.600 offset) is active around the clock and used daily by members across Alamance County and beyond.

If you want to reach the club, the most direct path is to tune up on Sunday evening before 8PM and check in to the Alamance County Sunday Evening Net. You'll hear from active members, the Net Control Station will acknowledge your check-in, and you're welcome to leave an announcement, ask a question, or just say hello. The informal session after the formal net is relaxed conversation — a perfect time to introduce yourself.

Can't make the net? Monitor the repeater during the day — members often chat casually throughout the week. You can also post to the groups.io mailing list at any time, and someone will see it promptly.
